Welcome to August Consulting*! My goal is to be a resource for families navigating the college application process. I use this site to deliver high-quality content for all families embarking on this journey. In addition, I offer a suite of customized consulting services for those seeking one-on-one support.

I earned my Independent Educational Consultant certificate at the University of California, Irvine. I am a member of the National Association of College Admissions Counseling as well as Independent Educational Consultants Association and I completed the IECA Summer Training Institute in 2018. I hold a BA in Economics and Spanish from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY and a Master of Arts in Secondary Education from Lewis & Clark College, in Portland, OR. I am a high school Spanish teacher by day and I reside in Rumson, NJ with my husband and three children.

*Many people ask me where I came up with the name August Consulting. When I was working on my certificate, we had an assignment to name our practice. I chose August for several reasons. August 1st is the day that the Common Application opens each year and it is the time that I buckle down with clients to complete the application process. August is also the month that students head off to college. It is my favorite month because the beach is so beautiful and it is the month that I got married. August was the perfect name for my consulting practice!
